Mama Tina Resource Centre is a non-profit organization whose mission is to eradicate poverty by developing sustainable communities in Kenya, one village at a time. Our story begins in Kisumu, Kenya.
For over 20 years, Mama Tina was well known in her community near Kisumu, Kenya for committing her love and care to children living in poverty by providing them nightly shelter and at least one meal a day, along with spiritual guidance and hope for a brighter future. Because she knew that simply providing life-giving essentials was not enough to break the cycle of poverty, Mama Tina emphasized the importance of education to both her own children and the street children she loved and cared for.
Mama Tina instilled her beliefs in giving to those in need, along with her spiritual values and the importance of education in her own children. When Mama Tina died in 2004, several of her children decided to continue her life-long work, and created The Mama Tina Resource Centre. Read more…

We are fundraising for a well that will be deep enough to reach the water table in Kisumu. This well will provide up to 1,000 people with fresh water for drinking, cooking, and washing their clothes. It should also provide enough water for a holding tank, and to irrigate crops. Read more…
